Paragraph 2 of the Sailing By-laws states:- If a particular class within the open division has 6 or more boats sailing with all necessary club and racing fees paid by 30th November of that season, then that class shall be transferred to a separate division. The proposal is to change the word ‘shall’ to ‘may’ This will give the new division the option of being a new class, or staying within the open class. At present the wording makes it compulsory to form a new division. Michael would like to present the financial accounts and it gives us a little more room. Also, Michael is overseas until the 21st. He reports that the club is in good financial position. Come to the annual general meeting (7:30pm 25th June at the clubhouse) and get an understanding of what it takes to run our club. We are all volunteers. See what constitutes our expenses.
