Windsurfer
The Windsurfers who race at DAC have a wide skill range which varies from Australia' s recent Athens Olympic sailboard representative to novice sailors who have only recently started sailing. As a consequence of the handicap scoring system all sailors get a fair go and have an opportunity of winning the races on corrected time. In fact there are often times when some of the most talented sailors get beaten by an up and coming champion.

Laser
Dobroyd Sailing Club races both Laser classes every Saturday during the racing season and also runs races during the winter. Each class has its own Club and Point Score Championships which are a competitive, but friendly event. The dinghies are easily rigged on the Lawns of the sailing club and launched via a dolly on the concrete ramp.
RC Laser
The Dobroyd RC Laser group races every second Sunday. There is also the Wednesday Masters Series where retired sailors get together in the afternoon for a sail followed by the mixed fleet twilight series later in the day for those of us that like to have a sail after work. In 2010 dedicated sailing days were introduced for the RC Soling which is a NSW Radio Yachting Association recognised class.
