Three windsurfers representing NSW went to the recently completed youth National Sailing Championships in Frankston Victoria. The three boys were Trent Billington and Brendon Jenkins from DAC and Ben Morrell from Illawarra Yacht Club. The three boys sailed exceptionally in a range of different and challenging conditions and considering they only started sailing on the board 4 weeks before the event deserve our congratulations.

The final results were:

Ben Morrell – 2nd Place
Trent Billington – 4th Place
Brendon Jenkins – 5th Place

The great contribution of the three boys ensured that NSW was able to win the Youth Championships "State Cup" as the best performing state in the whole event I am sure that all of the three boys have learnt a lot out of the event and there improved skills will make them much quicker and hard to keep up with when they rejoin their fleets at DAC and Illawarra.

Cheers Pat
